If you are looking for something to do in St. Paul for St. Patrick’s Day, your options are nearly endless. I have compiled a short list of a few different options for people to consider.
4th Annual St Patrick’s Irish Traditions 5k – Celebrating Active Friendship/Love/Loyalty
Get your friends and family together to partake in the St Patrick’s Irish Traditions 5k! Walk and/or run around the gorgeous Como Lake in St. Paul to start off your St Patty’s Day celebrations. With registration, you’ll receive a commemorative shirt and you can look forward to Irish music, refreshments and great spirits during the event.

Run begins at 9am, check-in at 8.

Annual Irish Music and Dance Association – St Patrick’s Day Celebration at the Landmark Center
Indulge yourself with Irish Culture at the Landmark Center in downtown St. Paul on St. Patrick’s Day! From 10:00am-5pm, you can celebrate! There will be music, dancing, food and much more! At 3:10, Sherry Ladig and Don from Dunquin will be performing as well.

Looking for more of a party?
O’Gara’s
Thousands of people stop by O’Gara’s each year to celebrate St Patrick’s Day. From 8am to Close, drink specials will be offered and other festivities! A large outdoor tent will be set up to accommodate everyone. There is a new area called the “Shanty”, which has shuffleboard, TV’s and events on most nights of the week.
McGovern’s
“St Paddy’s Party” – begins at noon. They have three levels, plus an enclosed patio and a huge tent they will be putting in the parking lot. Entertainment includes three DJs in three different areas. The daily special will be corned beef and cabbage.
Whether you are Irish, or Irish for the day, remember to be safe and take advantage of the free Metro Transit rides around the city!
