Great Waters Brewing Co. I went to The Wild Game on November 5th with a group for a birthday party. Before the game, everyone met up at Great Waters Brewing Co. It was my first time there. The restaurant is located in the heart of downtown St Paul in the historic Hamm building. We got to the bar at 4:30 and had a huge table right in the front reserved (this bar is one of the few that takes reservations on game days – fyi). Quickly the place became a mad house, full to the brim! People were waiting in line to be seated for a majority of the three hours we were there. That said, the bar is a great place to pre-game (or pre-whatever you do). The service was superb, the food was fantastic and the selection of beer was great! It’s definitely a good place to indulge at The Wild Game - Xcel Energy Centerbefore enjoying a night on the town. From the bar, we walked to the Xcel Energy Center. It didn’t take long to walk there and it happened to be a gorgeous night out, especially for November. Our seats were up high, but they were still great seats. We could see everything goingView from Crowne Plaza on, which leads me to believe that there is probably not a bad seat in the place. The Wild won that night – great game! After stopping by a couple other local bars after the game, we all headed back to the hotel – The Crowne Plaza… without getting into too much detail about that experience, I’ll just say the only thing good about that stay was the view. Great view, wouldn’t you agree?
