This weekend, about 100 qualified skaters will be at the Red Bull Crashed Ice event in Downtown St. Paul! Padded up in hockey gear, athletes will speed down an icy luge over 382 yards long. The luge is filled with obstacles of sorts and will send people down it at speeds over 40 mph! Gates open at 4pm and the first race is at 7pm. The event is open to the public, but if you want access to food and concessions, you will have to pay $15 at the gate to enter the “93X Crash Zone”. After this race, skaters will be headed to The Netherlands, Sweden and Canada to compete again. Racers will be judged by points and after the world tour, the skater with the most points will be titled the “World Champion”. The Crashed Ice after party is at O’Gara’s from 9pm – bar close.

Friday night (Jan 13th) there will be a Red Bull Crashed Ice “World Tour” Pub Crawl. Participating bars in the pub crawl are Alary’s, Bulldog, Barrio, and Burger Moe’s. Partaking in the pub crawl will grant you free entrance into the “93X Crash Zone” on Saturday.
