Your last chance to visit the Governor’s Residence during the holiday season is Thursday, December 15th. The gorgeous mansion was built in 1912 and is at home in the stunning Summit Ave neighborhood. The historic home boasts 20 rooms with 8 bathrooms and 9 fireplaces and has a fantastic view of the beautiful Mississippi River. Tours begin at 11am and end at 1pm. It is a self guided tour in which you’ll be able to see the public spaces of the home, as well as the garden area. Throughout the tour, people will be stationed at different locations to answer any questions you may have. Children six years and up are welcome and the tours are FREE. If you can’t make it tomorrow, don’t worry, the home opens up for tours several times throughout the year. Visit the mansion’s website for more info.
